H2Oils on canvas, approx 50 x 70 cm, took an age to do and I HATED every single fucking minute of it. I don't know what's worse, oils or canvas, but the two combined are just torture in its purest form. Ah well, pic turned out ok though. It could have turned out shite for all I care, I'm just marvelled at the fact that I actually managed to pull off a fucking oil on canvas.
But this image is good undeniably, regardless how you feel about it. I for one enjoy it very much. I mean, come on. Oil on canvas. How many people can really pull something off like this?
have you tried acrylics? I think they work a bit more like watercolours than the H2Oils. I've only been painting with real oils and acrylics... haven't tried those weird wateroils.
The best thing in this painting are the teeths of the wolf. Definitely.
lol thats got to be one of the greatest explainations of the torments of using oils and canvas, most pro's use artboard or mounting board i think because you don't first have to put down a layer of oils to create a smooth surface + it doesn't bounce around when you paint. Anyway thats not the point, it looks good and its probably better in the flesh.
This piece is amazibng, not matter how trecherous it was to finish, you made it and created a wonderfully stunning lycanthropy piece.
The lighting and the figures are amazing, especially the werewol;f head sneaking in the darkness at the back - amazing.
A definate fave!

"A shark attack is if youre chilling at home, sitting on your couch, and a shark comes in and bites you; now thats a shark attack. Now, if youre chilling in the water, that is called invasion of space. So I have never heard of a shark attack."
H2Oils? those are the oils that are supposed to work with water right?... maybee that was the problem... they are supposed to work fine,.. but they never really mix... my only experience with H2Oils sucked bad... but with traditional Oils i never had a problem...
anyway... your work rocks man!! it looks great
